Trying to clear codes after working the front end. (1 Viewer)

My OBDII scanner is asking me to turn the engine off and leave the ignition ON.
How do I do that on my Keyless GX ?

I haven't done this, as I routinely have my foot on the brake when I turn off the truck, so this is pure conjecture, but what happens if you hit the start button w/ your foot off the brake?

That is exactly how you do it. Press twice without touching the brake pedal.
Twice becaue the first one turn accessories, second one turn on all other ECUs.

Yeah, not having a physical key is a pain sometimes. Especially if I just want to turn my rig off from accessory mode without having to double tap the start button. Or switching back and forth between accessory and start positions (without starting the car) without having to cycle through all the settings.
Although the few times I take my wife's Taco, I always grab the door handle and pull to open it and wind up jerking my hand forgetting I need to press the keyfob remote for unlocking. Same for the starting it, I'll have the keys in my pocket and forget I have to have them out to use the key for starting.
Ahh, the downsides of muscle memory...
