OEM bumper is only about $300 so I'm sure an a/m wouldn't be much less. OEM is the only way to go for this repair.

I really don't want an aftermarket bumper. At least not this early on into ownership. It sounds like the consensus is that it's most likely just cosmetic damage on that bottom bumper cover. I'm not super familiar with the make up of these trucks and wanted to see if there should be any reason for concern of additional damage in that area.

i just got three bids to replace front bumper skin and headlight on a '21 HE . range was $3250 to $3650. the low bid was going to 'weld' the torn bumper rather than replace it!
Honestly, ask them to take $2200 off the price and buy yourself an ARB or Dissent aftermarket bumper.
Looks like cosmetic for sure. I don't think any of the fog light wiring, etc passes near there and the plumbing for the headlight washers is higher (best I can remember). So long as nothing is weird with the sensors, it is LIKELY to be just cosmetic.
I too would have trouble with accepting this as is without some sort of 'gesture of goodwill" at least.
EDIT: I am not there and am assuming it is indeed just cosmetic. If some sort of weird penetration ding, I don't know what to look for aside from dropping that splash guard and taking a look.
What if it whacked the foam bumper core, pushed in the mounts, damaged the aluminum sub bumper, bent the frame rail, pushed the bumper into the headlight, or even the fender. If the OP hasn't seen anything more than that picture, and didn't notice a hole that big, I doubt they'd have noticed more subtle damage. Have it looked over by a professional.

Yup, just the headlamp retails around $1200
FWIW NADA says average price on a 2021 HE with 21K miles is $86,685 and KBB shows $82K-$88K as fair market range. I think it is pretty universally accepted that those have never been completely reflective of actual values of Land Cruisers and have consistently underestimated what the market was actually doing. Even with how much the market has cooled the asking price could be as low as it is to take the damage into consideration (though not disclosing is still a very scummy move if they knew).
Looking at AutoTrader right now in a 500 mile radius the only other HE's are:
-2020 w/ 60K miles asking $83.5K
-2020 w/ 50K miles asking $81K
To echo what @CharlieS said it is absolutely worth getting it independently checked out to ensure there is no hidden damage, but assuming the damage is purely cosmetic the price is still in line if not under the market. In the end it's worth what you're willing to pay for it and still be happy.

They do sell prepainted body parts. Can't say for on the front bumper but I trashed a rocker panel and got a new one that matched my black 200. it was like $200.

Oh yeah some trim pieces like that, rocker moldings, mirror caps, some door handles etc. Just usually not bumpers, fenders, doors etc since they need to be paint matched.
yes, but what's "full price" on a used car? Isn't it really whatever someone is willing to pay and the owner is willing to let it go for? Obviously, the buyer has to make his/her own assessment that include the condition of the vehicle. At a minimum, here the OP can argue that the $86 was the price with no damage. He didn't see it and they didn't disclose it. I'd also try asking the dealer to inspect and warrant that there is no other related damage.
If its just the bumper skin that isn't that expensive to fix, when looking at an $86K vehicle. Agree with other's comments on making sure there is no other hidden damage as there could be.
I'm not overly concerned about the hidden damage. It is obviously not a major hit, and the only thing that can be damaged there is the aluminum reinforcement or the foam. If they are damaged the dealer will replace them as that is a liability on them for knowingly (because they will have to take it apart) selling the car with a damaged collision protection. It is a Mercedes dealer, not a tree shade used car dealer. Not worth for them to save a few $$$ for this. They also have insurance for f-ups that happen in their dealership so it's not like they are paying from their bottom line.

I've done worse to my 200 and the new bumper cover and paint were a lot less than that. On my 100 they simply filled a slit/scrape that size and repainted for less than $1000.
These things are fairly easy to do with a plastic bumper cover. That looks like someone lightly backed into some kind of brick or stone divider.
