This is the end result of a smash near the freeway exit near where I live.
The troopy was stationary in the emergency lane when a furniture truck collided with the small ute(hilux maybe) and it ran into the back of the parked troopy at I guess just below freeway speed.

Unfortunately the man in the small ute died. The troopy driver was uninjured and the truck driver handed himself in later that day.

Cant beat lots of metal and a full chassis.

This once again shows that all the simulated testing showing small cars are safe does not necessarily apply to real world crashes, where mass is more of a factor than the testing would have most believe. About the only time the conventional testing works is on the rare occasion that a vehicle drives straight into an non moveable object, which is very, very rare in the real world. I've long believed the conventional tests should be reworked.
