Anniversary weekend for this young couple so they had there own Hot Spring tub.

The lake bed was so fun reminding me of Baja racing days but slower.

After a couple days of the Oasis we parted ways with @yjeff and company and headed south.

One of the best parts of adventure travel I like is the wide variety of people/vehicles you meet on the trail.

The 2x4 tyvek aerodynamically designed RTT was the winner. Three young guys from Germany buy this POS in Nova Scotia throw a bunch of stuff in it and head across the USA with not even a cooler. We saw them first in San Felipe and a couple times afterwards lastly at the De Borja Mission in the center of Baja via 25 miles of rough dirt road that would not of driven down without airing down. Jennifer noticed half of both front tires were bald from front end issue. She asked them if they knew and said I hope you guys have a spare. The busted out laughing saying yes we have a spare but no jack. OMG They followed up with we are hoping tires will be fine down to Cabo and we hope to get some new one once we get up to Ensenada were tire are said to be cheap. Everything was available and built at Home Depot The EXPO connection.

Thanks for the trip report. We are headed down to Baja from Halloween to Thanksgiving. Guadalupe canyon will be our first stop as well.

Great photos, great trip.

In October I bartered 5 gallons of gas from atop my 80 with the guy at San Borja in exchange for enough time as I wanted to photograph inside the mission. What a place, and what a story.

If was very winding on the Pacific side so we grab a hotel. $22 night for a wife approved clean room with wi-fi

The hot springs on the shore of Puertectitos was so hot you could not touch the water. One needs to time the tide to enjoy.

Im always amazed more stuff does not burn down in Mexico. Common type wiring

Phil, don't have to go to Mexico to see that kind of wiring, I see all too much of it here. Scary stuff. Unfortunately, I find much of this after the fire or when the Police department calls us for assistance. I also find a lot of this in Sun City. If anyone is buying an older house there, make sure you have a professional look closely at the electrical system before pulling the trigger.
