The weather changes at that high altitude are all very sudden!

The beautiful Sheosar Lake situated at the highest part of Deosai Plains at 14000+ feet! The lake itself does not appear to have any source of water from surrounding mountains...............maybe springs underneath?

Another view of sheosar lake, with glimpse of Nanga Parbat mountain covered in clouds in the background. Nanga Parbat is world 9th highest mountain standing at 26600ft. Its the 2nd highest of Pakistan!

A view of Nanga Parbat mountain from the other side, opposite to sheosar lake above. The view in the pic from a place called fairy meadows, an absolutely gorgeous place to visit!

Did you have to carry extra fuel? How far was the closest fueling station? Y'all need a trasharoo.

The track used to cross through Deosai Plains is under 100km (62 miles), so no extra fueling is required. Although we did have plenty spare with us just in case, coz the consumption is significantly increased when going up at altitude!

Yup, trasharoo are good to have, usually on our trips atleast one or two of us are on open bed pick-ups. And usually they are used as a trash dump, emptied along the way at proper dump sites etc! :)
