Transmission Shops in Chicago? Help!

Hey all. Unfortunately, the transmission on my FJ62 gave up the ghost this weekend while passing through on I-80 and I was forced to leave it at a local dealership(Planet Toyota in Matteson). Their service folks finally took a look today and, outside of installing a brand new tranny, are unable to do anything for me. Does anyone in the area have any recommendations for a good transmission shop or cruiser mechanic? I'm either looking to get a rebuilt unit installed or a rebuild done on mine. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have had very good luck with Bill's Transmissions in Montgomery, SE of Aurora.

I've never had him do a Cruiser trans though.

Surprisingly enough, AAMCO in Skokie did a pretty decent and reasonable cost rebuild on a honda automatic transmission for me. Might want to look into a chain since you don't want to have to come back to Chicago for warranty work.

Thanks for the input. I'm getting a trans from cruiserparts.net shipped to an AAMCO in Chicago, so everyone's advice came in handy. With a little luck 'ol blue will be rolling again in the very near future. Now I just have to do that suck ass drive on 80 from Chicago to Reno when it's done....
