Transmission shifting issues. Is it my kickdown.

I was wondering where the kick down cable is. Kline can not find mine on my 91 f150

Yep cable. I halfa** adjusted mine and have not had any more flare shift issues.

i took it off tonight abd greased it up really well..seems to be working better. i kinked up the wire part with needle nose pliers....smh

Do you adjust the kickdown nut towards the red boot?

Installed new brackets that were missing on the accelerator cable and had to back off on tightness, it was causing short shift 2-3. Fixed immediately...take away is that too tight on acc cable can cause this issue.
