Lot of pros only con I can think is does not have a hand brake. 8/80+ all 40 series except the long wheel base had a hand brake on the rear axle. Parts are available to add a hand brake. Flanges changes over the years and driveshaft lengths mat need to be modified.

But most likely was just going to install a line lock

FYI a 40 series H41/H42 transmission top cover will bolt on to this transmission and locate the shifter farther forward. Those can are cast iron not aluminum.
