Trans oil drain question

Pretty sure mine was even less than that. The rest is sitting in the torque converter, valve body, clutch pistons, etc.
Did you follow the TIS procedure regarding temperatures?
Regardless of how much came out.. if you follow procedures when you refill and check level what remains in the transmission will be correct.

I drained mine yesterday. Pans holds 4 qts.
As the transmission keeps warming up fluid will continue to flow out slowly. The trick is to get it all to the temp range per the manual, add until the majority of flow stops, then close it up.
Did you do the full procedure with the OBD pin jumper and shifter sequence?
