tranfer case part question

I had my 85 4runner transfer case out to clean and replace seals. A part came off from somewhere and I don't know where.



It has a ball bearing that looks like it acts as a key but I can't see where it will fit. I have both driveshaft flanges off and it is seperated from tranny.

Brian, Looks like the speedo drive gear. See if the teeth on the speedo sensor match up to it.
