With all the campground closures a couple of us were trying to figure out if there is any unimproved camping areas where we could take our full size trailers. I know of tons of spots to go truck camping but nothing off the top of my head that would be easily accessed for larger vehicles and towing. Something like a river bar or a farside of a lake preferably. Some private campgrounds are open but even they are wishy washy on the rules. Just seeing whats out there. I kinda want to go out towards the Klamath River area where we had our cheese run a few years ago when Matt and Travis camped there.

Christmas valley maybe?

Gnob beat me to it! ND got his s*** all the way in :flipoff2:

Word.

How far you want to travel, plenty of spots in Modoc County.

Hmm, I'd like to keep it down to a couple hours of travel time but I'd go farther for a great spot!

Northern Nevada this past week. Most the spots right now wouldn’t be ready for water recreation unless your fishing, due to temperature. Here are my ideas.

Lake Annie, 1.5 hours from Alturas
West Valley 1 hour from Alturas (Best Idea) Great swimming, skiing,
Just a few, not camp grounds just dispersed camping
