Moab Trail Planning
According to the dates we discussed, we are on the ground in Moab Monday - Friday.

5 Days of wheeling.

That is a lot. That is not a lot.

Must do trails and how long they take:

Elephant Hill - All Day

Poison Spider Mesa/Golden Spike/Gold Bar Rim - All Day

Hell's Revenge - 1/2 Day

Moab Rim - 1/2 Day

We need to plan 1/2 day to do Arches National Park, a few hours to do Main Street Moab.

White Rim Trail is a 120 mile clockwise loop. It will take most of 2 days. I am still very lukewarm about lugging camping stuff out there for this, BUT I have always wanted to do it. That said, a lot of my camping stuff will be along anyway because we are staying in these cabins.

If the purpose of this is to get out and see the Moab sky in its glory, I usually go up to Poison Spider Mesa at night to get this fix. It is pretty amazing up there at night and it can easily be done up and back to town. That said, you would not want to booze up too much. That brings us back to an overnight.

I don't have my guidebook with me so these are just my personal favorites. I am sure the other "Moab Vets" know of some good stuff like Kane Creek and Behind the Rocks that would also take time.

This is just to get the juices flowing. We don't have to make any decisions at all on this stuff.

Mainly, I want to make sure our group does the above trails as a group. Elephant, Golden Spike, Hell's Revenge and Moab Rim are MUSTS.

I concur!

One of my favorites is the Top of the World trail. its about 3-4 hours round trip with one of the best views in Moab. its a easy -moderate trail.

See if you can spot sheila!

Greg has got a great shot of his rig on this trail.

I also love Steel Bender (Flat Pass). Its changing landscape is quite the jaw dropper, also has 4 stream crossings.

I still kick myself in the butt for not tagging along with a group that was going to Kane Creek Canyon the last time i was there.

Hell I was even in a rental!

we will just get a 8track of The Best of Blood, Sweat and Tears and let Bodean run escort for you. No stopping from Linda Joe Drive to Main Street Moab.

If I got an 8 track then I got's to have some Linda Ronstadt and Doobie Brothers! Abba would be nice too!

Well guys, I'm late to the party as usual. I could not figure out where all the Moab talk was that was referenced on the BOD forum. So I started looking around and found the CLC MOAB forum that I was not a member of. So a quick request and text msg to Euclid and I'm on.

It looks like you guys have it all planned out. Thanks guys! Awesome!
