I have Discount tire matching a price on 4 Cooper AT3 XLT ($600, mounted, balanced) 285 70 17 for my RW wheel. I found a set by luck that had been ordered and not picked up, my local discount is matching. I have an 09 LX, my question should I get my TPM at discount, or order from a Toyota or Lexus Stealer?

The discount version will most likely not be original quality. They are generally cheaper chinese units.. the advantage being Discount will program it to transmit the code of your original transmitter, so programming your TPMS module in the vehicle isn't necessary.
You can also order the same sensors as OEM, made by Pacific Industry and reboxed by Denso on Amazon for substantially cheaper than what you'd find at the dealer parts counter. The original lexus part number for your 09 LX should be 42607-33021. I THINK this is a Denso 550-0103 but you should verify that before actually purchasing.
If you do this make sure you take pictures of, or write down, the transmitter codes on the sensors. These will then get programmed into the vehicle by Discount when they mount the sensors in the wheels and put everything on the truck.
That is, IF discount knows how. My local one had trouble with this, but others on this board had more competent locations to work with and they did it without issue.

All five of my 12-year-old original TPMS batteries are still functioning perfectly, which is pretty impressive. That tells me the OEM units are solid as can be.
I don’t know about other cheapies in particular, but I think it’s fair to say that cheap isn’t always cheaper in the long run...
