Hey Keith,

Congratulations on a GREAT article and photos about the FJ Cruiser Summit #2/Ouray event!

I look forward to getting this rag more than most others. But this issue seems to be kinda over the top so to speak.

Anyway just wanted to say "kudos" to you on your great writing and photo skills!

I haven't seen it yet. Glad you enjoyed it.

I was going to post the same thing, but Dan beat me to it. My only question is that it seemed like the article just ended, is there going to be a part 2 in the next trails?

Having not seen the hard copy yet, I couldn't say. I sent Kaderabek a narrative of my experience meeting a handful of new people and riding shotgun on Black Bear Pass, being the most notorious trail of the ones selected for the summit.

Then I went to some of the folks I met for Q&A-style interviews so they could give their impressions of the summit to round out the feature.

I'm not sure if they posted the web link in the feature, but the Toyota Trail Teams film crew's video is online too. I was thinking that would augment the story as well.

Short answer then, is that I was hoping to use a variety of elements to tell the summit story.

If that link didn't make it in the magazine, here you go.

Scroll down to the 7th video. A lot of the trail running footage is from that Black Bear run

Ditto on the write up!
Came out awesome. You have a great talent for that!

Thanks guys. Appreciate the kind words.

Anytime anyone has an idea for a story worthy wheeling trip, let me know. Would love to write up another one, or collaborate with anyone on a story. The summit story was the last thing I wrote since my job moved to Truckee. I'm starting to get out of practice!
