Sam Stewart & Customer Service

Short Story: A+

Long Story:

Six months ago I finally had enough cash to buy an OEM Brake Master Cylinder for my 1977 FJ-40. I hit Sam up and he had one on my front porch 3 days later.

Last week, I finally had enough cash to pay a trusted shop to install the new Brake Master. I used my AAA membership to have the Cruiser flat-bed towed to the shop and delivered my new Brake Master that had been on my shelf for 6 months.

Two mornings later, the shop called to let me know the new Brake Master was leaking from the reservoir.

I contacted Sam who immediately assured me the part was warrantied for 12 months...the system had some issues with the short VIN of the FJ-40, but he would make it right, regardless.

Two days later I had a new Brake Master on my front porch with a return UPS label for the faulty one.

I don't spend a ton of money on parts...just what my 3 Toyotas need at the time. I try to spread my Toyota parts purchases out amongst the 3 guys on Mud. All 3 have always been awesome...this is the first time I have had a bad part. Sam stepped right up and took care of it...with ZERO hassle to me. This is exactly what I would expect from any of the vendors here on Mud...and was very happy that Sam lived up to that expectation.

Thanks Sam!

Thanks for the kind words @Garth.

I will be out of town this weekend (Friday 11/7 to Sunday 11/9). I will be back in the office on Monday 11/10. I will respond to all PMs and emails on Monday. It may be later in the day but I will get back to everyone. Also, we have our annual inventory next week on Friday evening. I will be unavailable on that day (Friday 11/14). I will be in the office the following Saturday and should be able to respond to requests then.

Thanks for all you do!!

Do you still stock the lower striker assembly, part #69423 and shim #69424, that attaches to the rear sill that the driver side amby door latch is secured against. With screws? For '77 fj40.

Never mind. Got my answer!

I'm rebuilding my front axle and am looking for a price on all of the consumables needed, seals, gaskets, etc. minus the bearings (I already have these). Also, are there any ancillary parts you suggest I replace when I have it apart?

Thanks

Do you have '77 amby door license plate light wire back door grommets? Part number 90480-15194?

Hello Sam-

I need a starter for the 2000 LC, first of year build.
So far, I emailed you my contact information, left a message on the phone you provided and called the parts department of Toyota South Atlanta.

The day is coming to a close now and I am getting nervous (because I need the part ASAP).

Please respond.

Regards

John Ritchie (ITcookY)
