Lily the Chihuahua said NO to rain. So May 3 is first day of summer. Anyone up for a convertible cruise up to Parksville-Qualicum tomorrow if the weather is holds?

Had a Cruiser Day! Visited a friend with a mint LJ78, beautiful truck. He bought my ‘74 FJ40 a while back. He really cleaned it up and made it into something really special now. Got home just ahead of the thunderstorms. Phew!!

Nice color scheme on that LJ.

Interesting.

So my LJ78 is great great grandfather to the new landcruiser thing we can buy new in Canada.

And you can see the 200 is great grand child of the 60, LOL! I do still want a 200. But now that my LJ78 is running so well again, I've lost some urgency.

If this isn't working let me know. ^^^^^^

SUA flex.

Unfortunately and fortunately I got to use my Pto for the first time. 20 feet of line out, the line was pinched, 2 feet shy of my winching point. Fml

I had a rope, thank the gods. Winced out, then snapped my Pto safety pin because I left it in gear. Lesson learned. Now I keep a bunch of 3” common nails for a quick replacement.

Thought I was going to 2wd it? I was wrong. I’m so used to my bj60,.

Where is the safety pin on yours? I have a hard time imagining I would get to mine on the 70 in any sort of mud...

Right at the back of the winch. Ya it would suck if your bumper was in mud.

This was the cruiser I was possibly going to rescue out of a swamp in Alberta. As soon as I seen it’s a 4 speed I didn’t want it.

Buddies nephew inherited the property and wanted the cruiser to stay there for his father’s legacy. Pretty cool and good death.
