Thanks Bobby, They do fit tight when mounted in cone fashion.
It was a leap for me to accept that they don't lay flat in the knuckle
relief, but they do the job.

I need to do the front axle on the BJ60. I guess I'll give these a shot too. I already bought Marlin's inner axle seal, may as well go all out. Is free shipping via USPS? Do you ship General Delivery through the USPS?

Hummer strange, all thrones I see are black, mine are white???

Wiper no Back Up Ring

Just finished re assembling the front end and installing these wipers.
I first tried installing the back up ring and it took way too much force to install the 2 keepers holding it all together.
It also deformed the back up ring and began to bend the upper keeper. I decided to remove the back up ring and position the wiper split abeam one of the bolts attaching the upper keeper. Seems like the proper tension is there and both the upper and lower keeper/retaining ring halves fit better without force.

Another great, high quality replacement for one of the few "weak link" parts as far as longevity on our Cruisers. Hopefully before I deploy next I can tackle doing up my knuckles again (they're due and I want to do it 100% correctly and use the SST to ensure that they're shimmed properly) and I'll definitely order a pair of these seals.

OTOH, if it waits until after my next deployment, maybe I can convince the wife to let me order a set of chromoly axle shafts at the same time :D

Amazed I didn't notice this thread when it was first posted.

Just ordered a set! Thanks!

I put a set in with my last knuckle re-build three years ago, and everything is still squeaky clean. Great product; works as advertised. A little more tricky to install than stock, but worth it.
