Lenny?

2008 35 foot Tri Axle Gooseneck. Has 8X8 deck over goose. Twin jacks, open storage between jacks. Trailer is rated at 15500 lbs cargo. Deck is 8 foot wide and 90 inches between fenders. Spring assist fold down ramps in the back. Asking $5000. 904 five 4 five-860 seven.

Located in Florida. I am looking to downsize to a HD twin axle bumper pull rated for 7K. Might be interested in part trade for the right trailer.

not that I am about to do anything but with that deck over, could you still put a slide in on the front?

You could but I'd prolly turn Lenny lose with the plasma and cut that extra weight off of there. Either that or do like one of the Arkansas Crawler guys and mount a small pop-up up there. Just watch that first step in the morning...

Axle location looks much better on this one than on the junk I bought. I paid more and would trade in a minute.

You guys need to stop with all these huge loads and embrace the double tow :D

Nolan, have you ever had any issues with the double tow. It just looks like a nightmare in parking lots or when you need diesel.

I agree. Cut off the deckover goose portion. Putting a pop-up in that spot would scare me and create a lot of drag. A slide-in - I think - would be a much better option.

Sorry I didn't find this several months ago, Daryl :(

I double tow some so I'll offer an opinion. Backing up is not an option for me. Otherwise, it's no big deal. The second trailer is usually smaller than the first and , so, will track inside the first on turns. Just need to be a little selective about where you pull in sometimes.

Yep. It is just another set of axles/tires to worry about. It tracks perfectly, like it is not back there. You cannot back it though. Way too much going on so gas stops need to be in a truck stop or a place you can turn the goose.

I love it because I don't have to have an unreasonably long trailer to get everything where I want to go when I don't want to have the camper. A 40' trailer is not really fun to tow. I have had a 34' and that was way long enough for me.

Weight stays off the truck too. These big truck campers are nice but the wind drag and weight on the truck is substantial.

I got about 10 mpg to/from Hot Springs keeping it around the speed limit.

that's always been my cheap idea!

not necessarly a pop up but a tent like the mombassa that we have.

A rooftop tent would work there too. Know anyone selling one?

you selling stuff???? nah!

I've been looking at some of the longer ones. I have found a few older 5th wheel campers that would fit on the front instead of a slide in. This gives MUCH more room, The only downside is you have to enter from the side instead of the rear.
