I have a 1993 Toyota pickup and have recently had some front end issues. While trying to get the truck sitting back level I broke one of the bolts. I have read this is normal in these older trucks. My question is should the same amount of treads be showing on both bolts? I have the front end aligned a few times. The first two times before I broke the bolt they left my truck sitting 1 1/2" higher on one than the other. After replacing the bolt and getting frame close to level, I took it to have it aligned again because the tires were leaning. They brought it out and one tire is still leaning. When I asked about it the man said I would have to adjust the torsion bar to fix that. I was under the impression that if I did that I would then again have to have aligned again.

The torsion bar adjustment has nothing to do with the toe-in, caster, or camber of the front tire. It only sets the elevation of the suspension.
