Torque wrench, which one? (1 Viewer)

I have three used Snap-On, one in/lbs dial to 50 in/lbs, one ft/lbs to 75 lbs, and one 50-250 ft/lbs ... all bought used (select carefully) off ebay... However, the new digital from a few diff makers are very good and the accuracy is as good as anything on the market.

Tekton is excellent quality made in Taiwan half or less cost of Blue Point (snap on) also made in Taiwan...- Curious what you think of this torque wrench.

Curious what you guys think of this one. Currently looking at a snap on- on eBay that goes 30-200 inch pounds as well to fit my smaller needs
Amazon product ASIN B07VZZDFL9

Any ideas on what this one is worth? Already placed a bid.

Just so you know that that wrench is in in-lbs not ft-lbs.
When brand new, that torque wrench was right on, but used torque wrenches? There’s no way to know if it’s accurate without calibration.

Unpopular opinion here: Unless you are at a location where a tool truck comes by with some semblance of regularity, buy the one you can get a replacement for at 6pm on a Sunday if you break it. For me, thats Husky/Homeless Despot. Yes, they are inferior tools to SnapOn/Mac/Cornwell, etc.

Tools off of the tool truck are certainly nice, but you are paying a premium for the warranty. If you can't exercise warranty rights within a reasonable timeframe (for me that is 48 hours), the warranty you're paying for is worthless.

Tbh you can just drop it off at the tool truck at any of their stops. I dont work in a shop but always just text my tool truck guy and he tells me where hes going to be that day and i just meet him when hes near my house somewhere.

That craftsman is fine and an excellent price at the moment. You don't need a snap on; particularly a beat up one.

All the Taiwanese click type wrenches are plenty accurate for a 2F.

Homeless Depot Husky are good too. I have one and use it frequently.

You don't need a digital.

10-80 ft/lbs is just the range you'll need for general engine work. EP auto is a rebrand from the Taiwanese company that makes almost all the mid-level stuff

yeah honestly the only reason id get a digital one is for the angle function anyways.

I got a snap on just a few months ago.
Have a friend, whose kid is at the local college taking some classes and he gets 50% discount from snap on...
Model: GD3R250A from 50lbs to 250lbs.
Price was $250 with buddy's student discount.....
seen a few on ebay....

Good grief man, regular price of $500. I know it’s a Snap On and all…but that’s crazy.🙉🙉🙉

Snap On doesn't even make their own torque Wrenches; made by CDI

If you're an aviation mechanic or in some field where wrenches need to be regularly calibrated, then yes.
