I want a 60/62 and I would still choose the 80. As a daily driver, the 80 is just better. Now as a off-road crawler...that's a little trickier.

No, it's not. Watch an 80 articulate vs a 60/62. It's not even close. You can lift an 80 for a lot less money too.

Just my tainted opinion, YMMV........:)

I have a 60 that I love and an 80. Other than the styling there is nothing that the 60 has over the 80. The 80 is much more comfortable, better off road, cheaper to lift, less prone to rust. Plus in your case the 80 has a lot less miles. I'd go with the 80 and never look back.

Newer truck with less miles and an ARB with PIAA lights already installed....

Same price...

And you can't decide?

( Hmmm, do I want a balogna sandwich or a filet mignon?......They are both 35 bucks and I can't decide.)

You calling my 62 a balogna sandwhich?

get the 80 you wont look back....has everything you want/need for a DD...

You know after all this he's going to come back and say, "I bought the 62." If he asking (for most the choice is obvious) my bet he's trying to be talked into the 62 because it looks cool.

Hey. Give him credit. He's calling your 62 a $32 balongna sandwich.

That's gonna be one HELL OF A SANDWICH! :grinpimp:

Come to think of it, I guess my 62 is kinda like a $35.00 balogna sandwich.

To the original poster, you saw my advice on the 60s board. I'd get the 80. It sounds like a distinctly better buy.

Obviously the 80. I am not going to begin to tell you why there are just too many reasons. Get the 80!!!

I bought a 60 new in '85, built it up and kept it thirteen years until 1998. There were only two things really cool about that truck.

Paid $14,500 for it new and sold it 13 years later with 82K miles on it for $11,000. That will NEVER happen again. The other great thing was that the cargo area was big enough to stretch out and sleep in.

The 80 is a far superior vehicle. Drive each for an hour anywhere and you will understand.
