I just bought a marks adapter for my fj60 and have a 95 suburban with the 6.5td. Does the burb have hydroboost system that I need for the 60 and how did you wire your glow plugs? Thanks

I am going to guess that the suburban uses hydroboost, and you would just adapt the hydrobost master and booster to your brake pedal.

You can also just use the stock vacuum booster, and then use the vacuum pump to boost it. It is a lot easier to join those systems than it is to use the GM booster and master.

Drivability is excellent. It it nimble enough on back roads, and highway cruising is great. It's happiest at 70 mph, and gets great mileage. It's not very noisy compared to a 3b or 4bt. The swap was most challenging when it came to exhaust and turbo tuning. I made my own mounts, and mounted everything 1" to the drivers side.

Do you have, or will you be posting a build thread? Thanks

FJ60 Diesel Conversion

What mileage are you getting from the 6.2 diesel?
What's the engine noises like?

Can you send a few pros/cons compared to other diesel options?

I'm also interested to hear if a 3.7 mercedes (sprinter) engine would make for a good FJ60 power plant. If anyone's got info on this conversion I'd appreciate hearing thoughts.

Thx,
-gw
