That's a good point ^ . If you here a rattling from the front of the engine for the first 10 or so seconds after startup (especially on a cold start) on the 22r family of engines, the timing chain is either rubbing the chain guide, or wearing the aluminum cover. They really aren't hard to change out and can, in many cases, be an excellent bargaining point for an item that should be part of base-lining your new rig.
 
Thank you but no, I am talking about the fiberglass cap on the back a the truck. Any tips on knowing if it has been damaged, or does not line up properly, I have no experience with a removable hard top.
Look for rust where the sliding windows are. the frames will bulge when they start rusting. also, inside trim around the bottom would hide damage, but if it's off, look where the two locating pins are. i don't take mine out and my top has some lip damage where those pins are. wish they had put a steel lip on the bottom. i slide it off by myself and it doesn't take much to chunk the lower lip if you aren't careful
