Hate to be the bearer of bad news. May be time to trade it in on another cruiser with less rust. I was wrong. Looks like the quote is closer to 4k ($3750)

Dude :(. I hate to say but you could be right. Unfortunately it's near impossible to find deals on LC's in Phoenix area, they are so popular and everybody selling them here knows it. I'd probably have to swerve and go GX or 100 or something (much easier to find). The list of expensive rust related todo list items feels like it grows faster than i can find the time and money to fix. My current plan had been to upgrade 1 thing at a time and eventually there would be no more rust issues. It's just costing a lotta extra money and time. ho hum, sadness. Love my truck, and I have put so much into it, would be really hard to part with.

texas, Cali, Louisiana, New Mexico, etc. tons of good states to get a rust-free example from.

Stay away from that truck dude. Like others have said, you live in Texas --- Plenty of rust free examples in or near Texas. I get that the color is choice (believe me...... I ended up with RED which took a while to grow on me --- i dig it now) but, the headaches from rust will outweigh the positives of a cool color and cheaper deal on a northern truck. Keep looking man and good luck

There is this one that is 3 years newer and spent it's whole life between GA and SC, for only a couple grand more.
