Hi , Started to put disconnects on ours. Started with the Ram 1500 second generation first, glad we did, someone keeps trying to steal it. The idea is to slow them down and have time to encourage them to go away ,

A tracking device plus some sort of kill switch would probably be a good idea. My mom's 2004 Corolla was recently stolen in Hawaii from a condo complex parking lot. It had no battery because I had it inside on a trickle charger. Either the crooks brought one of their own or towed it away. Yes, it was in semi storage so perhaps an easy target that was cased beforehand. A friend's neighbor in Hawaii had their car stolen out of their driveway while they were home!

Sounds like they need to bring back Magnum P.I.

I think having 3 or more different switches and kill devices in a variety of interesting locations will bewilder them quite a bit. They can start fiddling with switches and if there's only 1, they just need to hit enough switches until it goes. If there's 2 or 3 disabling different systems of the vehicle then the chances of them doing all together are pretty much nill. Then they'd have to go chasing wires behind the dash to figure it out which I doubt they would have the drive to do; or just tow the thing. People here spend days and weeks trying to get their 60's to move; shouldn't be too hard to make it so a thief needs to take an hour.
