2CV based light commercial vehicles last year of manufacture 1976
The 2 CV AU Fourgonette made its debut in 1951.
had a 250 kg payload and soon became the preferred transport of most small entrepreneurs and artisans.

ADAM OPEL (1837–1895) was the founder of the German automobile company Adam Opel AG.
Adam and his wife Sophia had five sons: Carl, Wilhelm, Heinrich, Friedrich, and Ludwig, who loved WHEELS and more particularly bicycle wheels.
Bicycles came into the picture when Adam's curiosity was stirred by a high-wheeled bicycle he saw in Paris.
Father Adam Opel was not amused with his sons bicycle projects, they are just "bone breakers".
By 1886 the Opels had made a bicycle of their own,
and the following year young Carl went to England to study the new industry and bring back samples of the latest designs.
The Opel Brothers became five times champions in ESSEN on their specal constructed bike between 1889 and 1897.

It is a symbol of France like the beret, baguette and Brigitte Bardot: the 2CV or “ugly duckling” (“Ente” in Germany). The Citroen 2CV was first introduced in Paris 70 years ago. A tribute to an automobile that has grown closer to the hearts of more people than any other over generations (except perhaps for the VW Beetle).
The egg was laid as early as the mid-1930s: Citroën started the TPV project - for "Toute Petite Voiture", a very small car so it should be, a minimalist, inexpensive vehicle for everyone, but especially for the rural population. "Design a car that has room for two farmers in boots and a quart of potatoes or a barrel of wine, is at least 60 km/h fast and consumes only three liters per 100 km," is what the chief engineer André Lefèbvre was expected to do.
Lefèbvre is also said to have been given the specification that the TPV should be able to cope with even the worst road surfaces and had to be very easy to operate. Great importance was also attached to a particularly good suspension: a basket full of eggs was to survive a ride on bumpy country roads to the market undamaged.

I owned this color - a 1969/16 horses- tried to find this color again ... no sucess.
Travelled a lot with 2 & 4 people in it . Some examples Norhcap Norway, Karpaten Romania,
Bulgarian Black Sea, France Camargue´ & I´m always on the steering wheel.
Drove it 6 years never washed :)

The 1989 2CV 6 Spécial, repainted in brown, gains a natural leather trim on the door facings, interior rearview mirror, gear knob, steering wheel and driver's sun visor. For an even more elegant finish, the two seats are upholstered in Hermès grey-beige cotton canvas and natural leather. As a finishing touch, the bonnet and interior trim at the rear of the vehicle also feature Hermès cotton canvas
