Hey club crew!
Just thought I'd drop a line on my new (to me) rig. I'm turning 40 this year and got approval from the minister of finance at the house to get an "older" truck again...
After some debate on what model cruiser to get, I settled on a 40, since I already have a mildly built 80 that pretty much does all I need it to do, and does it comfortably...
I found a '74 with original drive train in Arkansas. The seller isn't on mud as far as I know, but a cool guy that's had this rig for 15 years. He bought it out of California where it had been for 15 years before that.
1.5 F engine, 4 speed. The spring over and caster, etc was done by a dude 10 plus years ago that sets up rigs to run the rubicon. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, Saginaw power steering, brand new 35" Mickey Thompson mtz...the seller built the front and rear bumpers and full family cage himself, and did a good job doing it!
It's got 20 year old yellow paint exterior, and original dune beige interior.
Looking forward to having a 40 again, as I still miss that old 45...
