This month they had a call on the 14th so I was able to make it. The big takeaways were:
- They are trying to modernize the TLCA social media presence. I think we are definitely on the right track as far as updating our logo and doing things to reflect a Toyota, not just LC focused group.
- Toyota Trails really needs folks to submit stories. We as a club have done some incredible trips. I think the Alaska trips could span 4+ issues alone! So, if you feel inspired, please write something up with some pictures and send it in to Toyota Trails. You might just become a celebrity!
- If any of you want to submit an event you wish to organize to TLCA / Toyota trails please do so soon.

The chart below is generated from data the TLCA sends out each month covering membership. I'll post the whole data table below but the good news is membership is steadily climbing. Also interesting, the number of individual associated with a chapter, while lower than those not associated with a chapter, is climbing ever so slightly faster meaning more of the total membership is associating with a chapter as membership increases. The average ratio is 1.76 +- 6% which is probably pretty close to the margin of error so I wouldn't read to much into it, I just like data. However, maybe it's the beginning of a trend where folks are not just joining TLCA but also more and more looking for chapters to join.

However, one thing I think could be better is the total number of members. I don't know how many LC's are presently running around the USA but Toyota has built over 10 million of them and many hundreds of thousands should still be treading our highways. I suspect the total membership of 5,310 is like 1% of the number still registered.

Matt (@TheGrrrrr) authored and Geoff (@linuxgod) submitted our trip to the Maze District of Canyonlands National Park and it was published in the March/April edition
