Nice. How was the morning light coming through the translucent top? Mine is being built and when I get it, I plan on adding some type of carpet to the inside.

man that is one question i will never have an answer to. I’m always up for sunrise when camping :)

I will say it wasn’t bad when loading up tent.

It's really no different than any traditional ground tent. But a ceiling fabric in a tent would be cool!

Hi Folks! It finally happened. Thursday after work I decided to drive Gainesville, GA and pick up RTTx #008 Friday afternoon. I can't properly express how happy I am with this tent! This thing is next level. It makes almost no noise, I can't feel the load, and I'm still trying to decide if I am taking a fuel consumption hit or not. I averaged 75-80 mph on the 12 hour drive home and got about 14.5 MPG. On the way out I averaged 15.2 mpg.

For those of you still waiting, hang in there. This tent is totally worth it. If you haven't put down a deposit for the 2021 build cycle, I wouldn't sit on your hands. Once word gets out on these it's going to be a VERY long wait.

Pulled in to get gas in Atlanta next to a pretty sweet Sprinter build.

Of course, my daughter moved in immediately Saturday morning. I slept in the tent with her Saturday night. Very comfortable and I keep noticing amazing new details and engineering touches.

Production Update - 04/06/21

Tents are backing up in the assembly space and I am happy to announce - Freight shipping has FINALLY been sorted out and the first shipment has been shipped. Once we know the verdict of that shipment (as in...not destroyed by a forklift), we will push forward with the rest.

READ THIS >> A reminder. We are still...just like practically every industry within the US...being affected by delays in even the most basic of raw materials and supplies. Many of which have added ridiculously fluid timelines on essential components and parts.

We kindly ask for patience and understanding. Listen...I know it sucks. Frankly, it has frustrated the hell out of me. We are trying our very best to keep things moving, unfortunately, much of the problem is out of our control. Besides...We want you guys to have your tents! Far too much effort has gone into making this all happen.

The next four are presently on final approach and those customers have been contacted.

Cheers. Adventure Simple.

What numbers are you on now? I know I'm close to the bottom of the list...

I keep wanting to switch mine to Solo version now that one is out but I am so close at #13.

Howdy Folks...

Welp...we got hosed by our first freight experience. Terrapod's very first customer, was delivered a trashed tent. We have ABF Freight to thank for that.
So...for now, we have decided to offer "white-glove" delivery to groups of regionally centric customers. Meaning - those within the same vicinity that we can group together and make a "route". Today...our own Terrapod "Santa" set out to do just that.

First leg is complete - 1 of 2 tents delivered. More to come. Stay tuned.

Production Update / Status - 04/28/21

PROGRESS!!

Production is finally ramping up. With the addition of new staff in the sewing department, we are finally able to increase the production speeds of the tents. 5 more will be going out within the next week and more to come as assembly times are increasing.

Materials update: Covid-19 is STILL affecting shortages in a lot of raw materials. That said - we were notified by our composites partner that our order of panels for the first portion of this year has been greenlit for production. This is huge. We were told delays could be as long as 14 weeks. And frankly...that's a lot.

Pricing of materials has also been impacted. While we do not expect a price increase for 2021. 2022 will be re-evaluated if things do not improve.

Overall - over half of the first 25 units have been delivered. With assembly speeding up, we anticipate wait times will reduce. So...thank you for your patience. We are continuing forward and working hard to deliver you the most robust, well-built vehicle made.

Thanks for your continued support. Onwards!

Look who's cooking with gas now, baby! (Our new sewing person is KILLING it!)

So that's about #13 - #18 or so? Just trying to figure out when #23 might come up.

We are now able to assemble larger batches. We are also still dealing with random delays and material shortages.
We are getting there, but at this time, I cannot offer hard timelines. If any of you magicians can get people back to work and make Covid disappear...that'd be great.

To all waiting - You will receive a call from Koz our COO when your tent has reached the assembly queue. At that time, we will work out the final details, etc.
