I just picked up an air tank, before I'd drive for 20-30 miles at 18psi until the nearest gas station. Probably took on a tiny bit more wear, but it wasn't like I was cornering, stopping, or starting off all that hard either, so wtf. Hoping to actually use the CO2 over Labor day.

But I was shocked to read some of the old posts above, 55psi on BFG's? hfs... I'm at 28 right now, 295 75's, may go up to 32 or so but 50? hope you aren't behind me when we come to a hard stop...

Anybody want to offer up a recomendation for running 305/75 MTRs on the road?
i.e. around town and highway?

Got to thinking about this today when airing up and settled on 45 psi. Seemed to drive pretty well but I'm wondering what others have found or prefer.

Thanks

No help on the 305s, but I have some observations/comments regarding the GY 285 MTRs, when I had them above 40 psi, the ride became very stiff -- I could feel every single bump. Got better mileage though. It also seemed as though they were a little over inflated at 40 -- a few miles after coming off a dusty road, I noticed the center lugs were much cleaner than the outside lugs. I usually kept mine between 35 and 37 psi. At 35, the ride was quite comfortable -- not as jarring/bumpy.

My 315s are at 35 (MTRs) -- they seem fine there.

295 75's and I run em 45-50 psi on the street and no problems stopping or anything else for that matter. Look at the tire.
