Oh I'll be there. Though if I lived near Ryan I'd probably not come either
had to come into nanaimo this morning, no plows yet so was slow and boring, with the occasional asshat in a dodge blasting past at 90.
Think it's going to be a short day here
But yeah, just too far to drive in this muck when there's billions of idiots out there who don't understand that the extra 10kph they're pushing for only makes about 2 minutes of difference to their arrival time.

We are buried out here!
Spent most of the day yesterday cutting trees off of power lines and avoiding falling branches. Power was out for the better part of 15hrs as well. Busted out the 'ol Coleman latern and an army of tee light candles.
Spent a good chunk of the afternoon with my son on his GT snow racer, tethered to my old ATV ripping around the neighbourhood. Smiles and white powder ear to ear. Geeze I wish I could toboggan up hill at 25-30kph when I was his age!
Ill be at the meeting tonite, see you there.

By the way, +1 for my extraction count. Got a call about 12:00am from a friend of mine who had slid off the road and managed to land his car up on a stump. His front tires were hanging about 2 feet off the ground. Drove out and rescued him, used the winch to drag his car off the stump and back out of the bush.

None the less, gotta love Toyota diesels.
I threw back 2 shots of tequila,went outside to the cruiser,my face started to glow and i couldnt remember why i went out there

I've never had the good sense to pass out when I should, ( "when the going gets weird....")
I just think of all those tokyo rose flavoured retellings of my evenings exploits over the years I'd have missed out on...
But we were talking about glow plugs, and jdm folk with absurdly low mileage trucks really aren't in the same league as we few and proud who drive the canadian market rusty tractors with our own personal thin spots in the ozone layer over our houses.
