Resurecting an old thread here...
I'm wondering if anyone else has a similar set-up as this? I've got the exact same Thule mounts and cross bars, I would like to discuss what others have done, if anything, to accomadate there needs. I would like to put a platform on top, as I've got a Thule cargo bag I used to use, before I removed the factory roof rack. Any simple platforms I can secure to my cross bars?

Thank you for your time.

I just put the 6" feet on my 60 series. I'm going to use 4 sets ( 2 borrowed ) to put a Maggiolina RTT on my truck for a
trip to Yukon/Alaska in Sept.
If I was just putting a platform on I'd do what I did in the past. Get 4 u-bolts and put a sheet of 3/4" plywood on the top,
then use 1 u-bolt in each corner to hold the plywood down. I did this with these same Thule racks and it worked great.
My only thing is, check the feet are secured regularly. I've found the Thule's can loosen a bit over rough roads, and shift
a bit. So keep an eye on them so they stay tight to the gutter.
