I would avoid the big box store options. Not sure if you have green resources or site one (owned by John Deere landscapes) or Smith turf and irrigation. A store that deals with larger scale lawn chemicals and erosion control processes.

More stuff crossed off the list. Yesterday evening I demo’d the window in the front that’s getting replaced.

This morning, @dogfishlake was in town on a walkabout and helped me frame up the opening above.

We’re going back with a smaller window to better work with the awning outside and a storage loft inside. Plus it’s cheaper up front and cheaper to replace broken glass down the road if needed.

The window dudes finished this afternoon, so I swung by to put a piece of plywood in the hole above and take pics.

Landcaper dudes are rocking and rolling pulling out seemingly infinite soil, trash, and trees.

I’m going to put in a tall fence between these two buildings to keep foot traffic out (haven’t seen any yet, but that spot was a possible opening), so they pulled back the chain link and started in with the Dingo. Should actually drain through there now too. It’s going to be super clean when they’re done.

I would think an area as established and beat down as the one Cam is working will support the material with little loss.
I agree to use it on new grade if possible but in his case it’s not going anywhere

We’re going in with a 4” base of CR-610 (small limestone/stone dust mix, topped with limestone. Should set up nicely.

Between the buildings, we’re doing fabric topped with limestone.

You can put your waste oil in a sprayer and keep those weeds down 👀

I’m going to use a propane roofing torch and just burn them when they pop up. I want zero vegetation here!

Maybe I could have some sort of fire feature out front that just continually burns the waste oil. Mini Statue of Liberty or something.

The craftsman at work!

It was fun getting that done, your shop will be great.

I rolled the whole way back without any more than gas/frisbee throwing stops. All my precious 1fz-fe treasures made it safely!

Thanks!

Landscape dudes got the last of the crap out today. This looks so much better.

You definitely have the opportunity to perform a through leak check on the roof today.

You definitely have the opportunity to perform a through leak check on the roof today.

With the exception of an old heater flue pipe with no cap (visual contact with sky from below), it has been dry.

When the ceiling was still in the office, that absorbed any water. After it was out, I noticed some on the floor.

The roof actually looked solid and not very old when I took a peek with the ladder. Probably the nicest part of the building.

Lots of mural opportunities back there.

Fo sho. I gave @wngrog full artistic freedom in the mural department. One wall will probably be a giant weathered #89nolder logo.

We’ve had a few feet of rain earlier this week, which ground everything to a halt. Full sun yesterday with back to back cold nights has freeze dried the back.

They’re out today putting in the base:

Looking at the bottom of the fence, you can see how much old muck they dug out. I shouldn’t have any drainage issues, it drops off right behind the fence.
