This is my '86...just finished the sas, these pictures are and night before we got it all buttoned up so it's being broke in right now. I'll get some more after the body lift is out (hopefully this weekend) and the bed is back on.

cool rig....do you find oxygen is needed to survive at such an extreme altitude? ... :flipoff2: <welcome

Welcome! :flipoff2: Give more details and specs, please. Future plans?

The seats have a red inset and the ring around my shifter boots has been red so I figured maybe continue just a little outside of the cab. The body lift is a 3" but should be gone after this weekend hopefully. 6" springs, 37" Pitbulls (love em), 5.29's, rear discs, axle armor all around,....until some more $$ comes in there probably won't be many new parts for awhile. I've been collecting them up for about 8 months so I could do most everything underneath except for my dual case, which will be quite awhile yet. I'm still waiting on the front driveshaft too. I also undercoated the inside of the cab all the way up to the headliner, I'll get under the dash later when I get rid of it and flat panel it. Even just a light coating of that stuff is sooooo much quieter than what it was, probably keep the heat in the winter better too.

Thanks for the comments, it has a long way to go yet.

Thought I was going to get the bed on this weekend but thats not happening....gotta help a buddy work on his deere. I am going to get the framerails and all cleaned up and painted tomorrow though, so it'll look a little better. If we finish with the combine in a timely manner maybe I'll get lucky and get the body lift out and make it a easier to jump into lol. For as tall as it sits though with a 3" body lift it really doesnt have much body roll, at least no more than it had with the old IFS. Seems to ride just as easy too, then again them Pitbulls like to mold around about anything they touch....its like riding on pillows lol.

Got the body lift out and the frame cleaned up and sprayed....hopefully the bed will get back on this week sometime. I've been watching your thread WristPpin and I like the way you've beefed your frame, but mine is pretty solid and I dont get to see as severe wheeling as a lot of people on this forum. I went a little overkill on the truck as far as what I needed, but I figure hey...I don't get to take the money with me later so I might as well spend it on toys now. Lol.

I haven't had them in anything too severe yet...just some timber and level B roads. They dont ride too bad but do have the typical bias flat spot in the morning. Highway noise is noticeable, but since I undercoated the cab, when I roll up the windows I can still talk on a cell phone without problems. As far as traction, the best thing I can tell you for now is that if you notice the grass bank behind the truck....it gets slightly steeper on down the driveway. Its probably only 7-8 feet up, but the truck drove straight up it on wet grass and in 2wd. I was in 1st gear and had an entire 5 feet of a running start and surprisingly it didnt spin the tires once (detroit). They cost me $288 each and I want to say it was only like $80 to ship them up here, which I didn't think was as bad as it could have been.

Yes, gussets are being welded on today actually, and no it isn't fully welded all the way around. Both ends are solid and there are a few added since the first pics...front and backside. I also made me a plate out of 1/4 steel to reinforce the front bumper mount, similar the the FROR bracket, which will be welded up and fill in any areas that we didnt fill already.

Sweet ride man. Looks a lot better without the body lift. Those pitbulls look sick, I havnt heard much feedback on them but I did see the green marlin crawler running them last year at WE Rock and that thing did great so Im thinking they are badass tires. Lets see some sweet wheeling shots
