will the 8" tuffy model be able to squeeze between the oem seats of a 78 FJ40?

Yeah it will fit, I have a gray one in my '78 40!! Works great. We made a bracket that attaches the box to the rear seat mounts. I then bolted the front down through the front frame work for the seats. PM me if you need pics.

if your a little girly type man 8" might work......but even with my 6" tuffy it feels tight
