i was able to locate a timing chain kit listed for an early celica for 80 bucks. thanks for the help guys, you too hilux

the tensioner is jacked on this thing causing the chain to make a lot of noise and there is crazy free play from the crank to the cam, cause the chain is strecthed

sounds a lot like what I was dealing with last year when I bought a 20r/22r hybrid from someone and they cracked the timing cover...that was a pita...


FYI 2T-G is a DOHC 2tc...the extra gear is for the cams and what theyre on is a dummy cam...2tc is OHV but they share a block....I hope no one ever puts a 2tg in truck..

I don't think anyone here would. 70mm stroke means no bottom end...

Maybe some ricer would b/c he thinks the bolt on 3 Turbo's and make 500hp...?

But we off roaders tend to like powerbands under 6,000rpms...
