Thinking About Purchasing Another Truck

Well fellas. Here I go again. I've been thinking about purchasing a new truck. I almost bought another LX 450 this week and just like that they sold super quick. Well I have been thinking about buying a truck that has already been built. I am going to check this truck out tomorrow.

Any one know about this truck? Current owner bought it a year ago. From the pics the truck was most likely owned by a Mud member.

I dig that it's already built. I'm just not sure if the mods justify the asking price.
What do you guys think fellas.

Set my $!#% straight.

The truck has been wheeled. What are some items/areas of concern that I should look at more closely?

I just found the magazine article. This truck belonged to Newps (Tare)????

That is my old truck, I just had a very interesting conversation with the current owner. I can tell you just about anything you need to know about it. PM me with your number if you want to talk about it.

If most of that work was done by Tare, you've got a good built truck. He's almost as anal as Boyd and me!

I have to agree with you on the price. Every owner overestimates value of all the mods IMHO. It's worth it in our little niche of the world looking at what it would take you to buy a stock '94 and building it to this spec yourself. Some want the pleasure of doing that. I'd put the price of a '94 more like $4-5K. Using that and 50% value on the mods alone, throwing out that labor, you're at $14K ($5K-truck and $9K mods). Take Tare up on his offer to talk about the truck for sure!

Thanks you guys. The truck drove great. Even with 35s and regeared to 4.88s the truck felt very much like my stock truck if not just a bit better and tighter. Def gonna pass on the truck. Prob gonna just build my '96.

I'm selling my built 1997 LX 450 with 145,00k. Haven't put it in classifieds yet but i will be this week. Slee front bumper with Warn winch, Metal Tech Sliders, 4x4 Labs rear bumper with tire carrier and gas can carrier, all plastic cladding removed filled and painted, new exhaust, upgraded brakes, navigation/bluetooth, CB, 35" Nittos with 5,000k on them, CA truck since new-NO RUST, Fully locked, sol tek lights.
