Yep, and I was such an excellent liason - I was away for so many Region 2 meetings that by the time I finally made another, our club wasn't affiliated with the 4WDABC anymore...and I didn't know it!

But hey, if a guy like Steve wants to take the Association and try to do something with it for our sport/hobby of choice I'll support it with my $20.

Meh - it's $20. By the time we've got everyone to buck up the extra $15 and actually join it'll be dues time again anyway.

Just so you are aware, the 4WDABC requires a bylaw change to accommodate the revised membership structure that I've been targeting -- which will (of course) require acceptance by the membership at a general meeting. At this point I plan on this taking place in September (strictly due to the amount of other work we're trying to address between now and then), however adoption may be delayed until the March '08 4WDABC AGM. In the meantime, I am considering the CC to be a member club in principle and welcome your participation in the association.

I see over on the BC4x4 board sdillen is trying to guage interest a 3 day ham course like Bill tried to get going for us a couple of years back. If anyone's interested go check it out in the Radio Communications section.

Thanks for the heads up on the course. If the dates line up with my shifts off that would be the best way for me just now.
