Looks sharp. I really like the grill. I had the same color 1st gen new in 06. I traded it for an fj cruiser the next year. Now my son drives an 06 1st gen. I think he needs the super charger

its my understanding ,
that when the intake manifold changed from aluminum to the black plastic , the super charger no longer was available

The collector B pipe replacement that Also eliminated the silly round drum like cylinder resonator assy .
Was hands down the best dam decision I made like that !
The overall HP gain , however minor in the big picture was most definitely noticeable by me ..
Not to mention , I have the baddest bad the bone sounding 2UZ-FE Borla equipped SUPER HILUX around !

I have not had the free time to do regular updates here on SUPER HILUX ‘s constantly evolving evolution towards manifest ….
Maybe he will never actually get to a finish-line as you and I might call it in an Automotive Build Thread here on MUD anyway …?
I DO have a huge amount of both still shot cell camera and also iPhone videos I upload to my T-TEN Self Empowerment through OEM FSM step by step themed Educational Channel …

I am going at some Tad over due maintenance procedures this weekend …
This is how I approach SUPER HILUX ‘s YAMAHA variant 2UZ-FE with 153K miles …
I substitute 1 qt of the MOBILE 1 10W40 with the qt of LUCAS SYNTHETIC Formula ..
Back in T-TEN , in my senior year Engine Design & Theory final exam started after the first week .
One of the Lab’s we had prior to getting into rebuilding our own engines ( I had my 1st FJ40’ 2F to go at )
Out Professor set up a unique Torque Wrench
that had a analog dial on it to measure Toque yield and not a simple CLICK ing type you set to a specific #
So …
We had all the same drill bits V- head style ACE IRWIN Hanson top tier ones and all the same thickness 1” metal plates like 5”x5”
or there abouts ..,
We used straight motor oil first MOBILE 1
10w30 , conventional basic lowest common denominator MOBILE10w30 , you know the Cheap Azz MOBILE you got at a 7-11 or K-Mart auto section back in the day ..
We did the initial 2 drill bit torque yield
pressure tests using only the 2 base oils stand alone …
The MOBILE 1 drill bit lasted many times longer of course
The Lab Set Conditions were to steadily increase the pressure adding enough drops of oil to simulate the oil pump pumping enough to keep is nice and wet-down so to speak ..
The conventional mobile 10w30 started to smoke and the bit simply seized and locked in place then shear , snapped it ..!

- i am Not a Phan of the ( in my opinion ) Silly-Spec. chrome whales-tail hoop-tidy-hoop , so pretend it's invisible like Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet ...
so it will not be installed .....fyi
- looking for shared thoughts on this Idea , concept , appearance and overall input ?

i installed my initial prot0=type set of these KUSTOM KOITo LED Fully Composite AUX / FOG / DRIVING Lamps , as my now Permanent Rear Back-Up / Reverse Lamps ...
i had them temporally hooked into the reverse / back-up switch B+ Switch circuit , with plans to then hook up to 1 of my 4 center consoler AMBER GLOBE OEM Rockers you can see on the pervious page here in my build thread ,,
i am nothing less then super happy with the whole concept of now having available on-demand 8000k Lumens that allow me to see others , they will see me and i will see anything else behind me , as the rear view mirror is 100% useless , when you have a assy. cap that also has another window on each end , this = x3 panes of glass , the OEM power slider one is factory privacy TINT also .. so no use at all ...
