Is there anyone else out there that puts hot sauce on almost everything they eat?

This is my current favorite because it's cheap, spicy and not bitter like Tabasco.
El Yucateco Green Chile Habanero Sauce

And an old favorite,
Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce

And sometimes I'm in the mood for a little Dave's Insanity Sauce, but it's a little pricy:

And what started my hot sauce addiction when I was a kid; Arizona Gunslinger Smokin' hot pepper sauce:

So what are your favorites?

How can you be a fan of Dave's? That s***'s not meant to be put directly on food. You're supposed to add like a drop to a ten gallon pot of stuff.

lol I think I'm desensitized to capsaicin. I do use Dave's sparingly, but more so due to the $7/bottle cost. I put about 4-6 dime sized drops of it on my scrambled eggs this morning because I ran out of the green habanero sauce. In fact that's what gave me the idea for this thread, I realized how dependent I am on hot sauce for seasoning my food.

The thing I like about these intense hot sauces is that I can make my food spicy without changing the flavor of the food with bitter nasty vinegar taste like you get with weak sauce junk like Tabasco.

I actually love the burn from the habanero or serano peppers etc. My mouth actually starts to water just thinking about really spicy food. Perhaps Agomez can relate, but I keep hearing that he's not a true Mexican.

Sometimes I get carried away and it overpowers the other flavors in the food, but usually I just counteract that with more of the other seasonings. The:princess: use a lot of seasoning when we cook.

I'm sorry, I really can't get into the idea of a an "ultimate hot sauce"...
it's sorta like "The best LandCruiser" or a "best Handgun" thread.
There's, like, a bazillion choices and sometimes it just depends on my mood at the time or whatever is handy.
My favorite breakfast place has the chile sauce on the counter, so that's what i use.
If I'm at home and all I have is wasabi, that's what i use.
I'll try anything once. If it's not the ultimate, I'm not gonna whinny (or whine) that it's not ultimate enough for me.
Don't get me wrong, I do like a good tear-jerker...something that opens my sinuses is something to come back for, but I won't be locked into one choice as an ultimate. Perhaps it's the season of the year, the day of the week or the degree of my hangover, but I'll season to taste.

Tabasco fan right here. Cant think of other I like off the top of my head

I agree, there isn't an "ultimate hot sauce" this is just a thread to show everyone's favorite hot sauce and perhaps discover some new hot sauces to add to my fridge.

i like the vinegar based sauces...the hotter the better. I cant stand heat with no flavor....doesnt make sense.
you forgot to mention that you are right and whatever anyone else holds as opinion on the matter is full of s*** and therefore they are, in fact, a moron. I know you eluded with the "doesnt make sense line" but remember not all on the forums/intrawebs are as well versed and omnipotent in the world of cuisine.

I like this stuff Spontaneous Combustion Hot Sauce Hot-Sauce

I'ts hotter than hell and has great flavor. I add some to barbeque sauce for ribs to give them a little kick

Looks similar to Dave's. What you describe is exactly why I like really hot sauces. You can add a good kick to anything you make and without changing the flavor of the food. I'd have to dump a half bottle of some of the weaker sauces in order to get a spiciness I like. By then it would taste too much like vinegar. Granted if you add too much spice, the burn overpowers the flavor, so you can over do it.

Co you are so right, Liam is a food douche.

My staples and Tabasco.............I cannot eat stuff without some sauce.

Crystal, Cholula are pretty good from what I remember. Readily available too. When I visit my wife's grandparents house they usually have the crystal. This past holiday while we were there, my wife bought me a bottle of green yucateco for use while I was in town. It made all the difference on mexican night. :hillbilly:
