I don't know if some of you remember when my truck was rented for a TV pilot almost a year ago. I recently got an e-mail and the pilot was approved and they got the deal to do one season. So today I met with their head guy in charge of transportation and he took pics of my truck so they can figure out if they want to use it. Depending on the script and how often it's used they might rent it or decide to buy it. That's only if they decided to stick with it, don't know for sure but we'll see.

Rent it to them if you can. You will make more money and be able to write it off as well as your expenses, insurance, etc.. well, I guess if CAN laws are similar to the US

Let me know if your truck is too pretty. :D

That's a nice situation to be in. Take the rent and fund your projects.:hhmm:

My brother has a lot of experience renting boats and related equipment to the movie industry here in BC.

I got a $300 cheque to not go to work one day. Then I got another $200 to let them use my parking spot for 2 days. I use to walk or ride to work anyways. :D But that was when i had the office in Steveston. Now I am home based, no one offers me nada. :crybaby:

Mat, get all the money you can. Not sure if their pockets are as deep as they use to be but I am sure you will have fun negotiating.

I'l see what I can do, still have to wait to hear back from them if they are going to go with my truck again, they start shooting on the 28th so there isn't a lot of time for them to decide. If they offer me a decent amount to buy the truck I'll go for it and then I can get everything I need for the project truck. I'll let you guys know what happens.

So I heard back from the movie guys today, the production would require access to the truck a lot so they decided to buy one, and regrettably not mine. I'm guessing they bought a gasser since he could not afford my price tag - So which one of you dogs sold them a 60?

Hey Mat (whenever you get back) or anyone else who wants a famous albiet now a parts truck, here is your chance.

I don't want to wreck the show for you loyal followers

Hey, Mat.

I was just flipping through Netflix and caught the show with your truck in it. The bumpers are distinctively yours. It looked good in the pilot, but I saw the replacement one they had tried to make look like yours. Not even close, your truck has more presence.

there were two replacements in total. One for cruising/posing and one for a crash seen.
Kolaid budget on both, I recall $800 for the main Cruiser. You can't even buy the steel Mat used in his bumper for $800
I know where one of them is now but the other one???
When they shot the crash seen, they bought a few hoods and grills from me. The hoods had the gussets removed in order to fold up when hit
