Very cool, but the author needs to do his homework:

" Also, the engine’s timing chains have been replaced along with its water pump, though the latter component didn’t really need service, but it was wise to swap it out when the engine was opened up."

4.7 liter V8 with a timing chain....

one article said it was actually the 4.0 liter V6 engine, equipped with timing chain.

That's the rarer option but likely the engine size. Cool story

334K on my 2001, original motor and drivetrain, murf knows what a freak I am about timing belts, water pumps etc, though!!!! LOl, incidentally it leaks nothing. Wish I could say that about my 40.......................

117 oil changes? That's it? That's an oil change every 8.5k miles.

Also to drive 125k miles a year means at least 342 miles EVERY day - 5 hours of driving a day.

Loves that these trucks can go that far!!
