New to me 1998 UZJ100. One owner truck. First things first, .5” t bar crank and fresh 285s. Grew up in these driving all around the west coast. My dads has 455k and is still being driven to this day. Nice to drive a cruiser that’s not on 37s and slower than the government.

uuhhh, doesn't look good. How did you get out? had a spare with you?

Which spots did you visit? Had done Mojave Road in April and went back to Aiken Mine and the Lava Tubes 3 weeks ago :-)

We camped the first night at Afton Canyon and drove the Mojave Road west stopping at a lot of cool places along the way. We turned right on Kelso Road and went all of the way to Jackass Canyon before heading out Kelbaker to Baker for gas, continue onto Cima, the Death Valley Mine and to Thomas Ranch to camp and to meet up with the other rigs. We were doing a Trail Guardian event where we were helping the NPS track tha Mojave Road. The next day we did the Eastern third of the Mojave Road and the road to Fort Paiute and Paiute Pass were pretty rough. We ended up spending Saturday night at a great camp in the New York Mountains and that is where we noticed the busted bearing. The decision was made to try to get to pavement for a tow... The front end came apart on Ivanpah Road about 15 miles from pavement, South of Nipton. One of the rigs in our group had StarLink so we were able to contact a tow service.

Any idea if those massive wheels could be genuine for LC by any chance? At first I thought no, but then I noticed those fender flares that I haven't seen on any other LC before. That's a 2007 HDJ100.

Wheels are not OEM. Flairs are likely gulf coast dock installed. Fender markers and hood emblem may have been added to make it look like a UAE market cruiser.
