Made a drive through the Ouachitas. The colors were just right. I'll be back next weekend for the Little Rock Rigs and Coffee trail ride. Though I think this weekend will be hard to beat.

My last Ouachita posting for today. These are familiar trail ride sites for people who attend the Little Rock Rigs and Coffee meetings on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

These sites are easy to reach from various points in central Arkansas. Just follow Trail 86 from Hwy 10 or Hwy 7.

Just search Google Map for "Forked Mountain Arkansas" and you will get directions.

Saving this info!

I’ve been going through some old photo albums in a fit of nostalgia after listing my 100 for sale in the classifieds section. Will be posting my favorite adventure shots over the next few days as I find them so stay tuned!

To start, here are a few fall-vibe glamour shots I took of Jiffy for my ad.

I have driven that truck, it rode so nice, that I immediately decided to buy new AHC globes for my truck instead of converting to conventional suspension!

Thanks! You know I agree –– AHC is fantastic. I'll never own another 100 without AHC if I can help it. It is not only the smooth ride (which I have been slightly addicted to ever since my first AHC flush); the added utility cannot be ignored. A 2" lift in High mode at the push of a button (3" if you get stuck*!) is just so useful. And I've used the 2" slam in Low mode for loading more than a few times as well. That's 2" lower than Normal height mode, but 4" or 5" lower than a non-AHC 100 with the same ground clearance. Makes a big difference when loading something big or heavy.

Here is a another photo of Jiffy, this time basking in the starlight over the Grand Canyon earlier this year. Second photo is the same location during daylight to show just how close to the edge we really were! Shameless self promotion.... Jiffy is for sale.

*Never tested...100s just do not get stuck in my experience.

First bath in a while, the amount of road grime and mud that came off of it was surprising. Her sister was resentful but I didn't have time to do both, she'll have to wait until next weekend! :)

They can in fact get stuck* I tried the AHC low to squish down too deep of snow, but still needed to be pulled out (up to the running boards). *Front diff spur and pinion blew at this same incident, so 4wd was iffy.

I have not tried that method though I too have been stuck in deep snow. Not in low range of course so no extra-high 3" lift mode to take advantage of.
