Yah.... I have avoided buying one for quite some time, but I wish I would have had one for this journey. There were quite a few river crossings and the water was pretty deep in a few spots.
I think I'll just have to join the "dorkel" crew and throw one on here pretty soon!

Intended to run the Box Canyon Trail out in Florence today, but my waypoints for the start of the trail led me to a sign that said the gate was closed and the trail could not be accessed from where I was. Instead I ventured toward Mineral Mountain and did a rather technical uphill section on Ajax Mine Road before turning around and heading back.
My passenger side LBJ needs replacing, so it was creaking almost the entire time.
Given the reasonable request from the owner, I decided to not spin up my Dillon Aero mini gun from the crude rooftop turret and further destroy the already dilapidated water tank. PS, the cattle didn't give two craps about vehicles; just chilled.

We'll have more opportunities for fun in the area coming up. This one was a good learning experience for me. I know I will be further south in the Ouachitas on the 20th.
