My family used to live right up the road in San Luis Obispo. Beautiful country up that way!
Crazy flashback to the Spring of 1981; I remember flying in a Huey over the fault line in the San Louis Obispo area and thinking how the ground looked like it was in a state of turmoil. The fault line was very easy to see... :smokin:

Mind sharing the tent setup you got there?
It’s the long-discontinued OzTent Jet Tent F25X. It’s stinking awesome, even if it is heavy and bulky and kind of a PITA to pack up. Not the best for a moving sites every night scenario, but we love it for 2-5 nights in one place. They make a lighter version now, which may even be better, frankly….the Oxley Lite

So what's going on with those 1/2 sliders? Looks kind of interesting.
Those were kind of a homemade job, he is not happy with them and going to buy some legit sliders soon...

"If you get to head south of Capitol Reef, check out the Burr Trail/ Strike Valley Overlook..."

Thanks. We were actually planning to do that. I was camped at Cedar Mesa, which is on the way there. However, I was told that the road south from Cedar Mesa was very severely washboarded. After a full day of washboard roads in cathedral valley, I decided to give my tires and suspension a break.
