@UTadventures ... how did you like that Gazelle tent setup? Held up well and easy to setup? They look really cool and a good option for the times I don't want to haul my trailer.

I have the T4+, so it is heavy at 47lbs. But it comes off the roof and is up with the rain fly on in 10 minutes, with one kid helping. Set up and tear down is definitely a 2 person job. I also bought a cinch strap to help compress it before getting it in its bag- 1 was not enough. It’s a little noisy in the wind, even with 8 stakes holding it down. We bought 12’x16’ tarps at Costco and one is a perfect size to sit it on. A little pricy for a school teacher, but it saves us 2 hours every time we use it. So it’s worth it. It you don’t need the big one, I would save the $100, length and weight. Also, I do not think it would do a great job in a windy rainstorm- the + side is almost all screen with big curtains, not zipper windows on two sides. The big doors have zip ins.

Finally heading to Utah in September for some adventures. Your photos have absolutely inspired me to get out there and explore. Plan is to do the Rim Rocker from Montrose, CO to Moab and then do White Rim as well as explore Arches and Capitol Reef before heading up to stay a few days at a friend's place in Park City (definitely going to sneak over to check out the Cruiser Heritage Museum while I'm in the area). Can't wait!

That's awesome, glad to hear! I think you'll love it. I need to do that Rim Rocker trail one of these days, let me know how it is.

...not yet. Planning on a few days this fall. It’s supposedly the best of the parks in many peoples opinion. I’ve seen amazing pics for sure.

Early morning run through a Central Texas river bed. The 265/75 Yokohama street tires were excellent!

So about 3 months ago I visited Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Central Texas (Marble Falls, TX) for the second time with a few friends in their rigs. I was 100% stock, and unfortunately ripped a CV boot on the front passenger side, cutting my trip short. I took that opportunity to order basically every part I could to replace both of the front CV axles, change all of the brake rotors, pads, add 1.5" spacers, and install Falken WildPeak AT3/W tires onto the OEM wheels. I learned a lot from that install, and just last week, installed my new Metal Tech 4x4 OPOR sliders I bought from the group buy in May. I was invited by a friend of mine in Austin to return to Hidden Falls to see if the tires made a difference as well as try out a few harder trails. We just returned from our trip and it's amazing that this rig can be taken to an off-road park, handle almost anything you can throw at it, then return to the city and go out for a night on the town comfortably (although dirty). Here's a few photos from the weekend!

Glacier is beautiful. It is like a green grand canyon you get to drive through. Our visit was cut short in '07 due to a massive landslide that took out the very top of Going to the sun road.

North of Moab and canyonlands, check out the san rafael swell on you way to SLC. I live less than 30 miles from it- its awesome!
