Wow, Cape Hatteras is quite literally half way around the world from here! Nothing this trip unfortunately, the weather did its best (constant +50km/hr winds) and beat us all. If conditions were better we'd have been looking at Tailor, Whiting, Herring, and maybe Mulloway. Next time!

Enjoying some beach and dune driving between Ledge and Lancelin (Western Australia), then heading north for a camp and bit of a fish on the beach, what a way to spend the weekend!

Man, you just hit me over the head with a lot of nostalgia. I lived in Secret Harbour for a couple years a long time ago. I never had a fourby, but most of my friends had either four wheel drives or dirt bikes. We used to go beach driving just north of Bunbury on the Lenschnault peninsula, down to E'entrecasteux national park a few times, or north to the dunes and beach by Lancelin. I've still got a Lancelin Bay Restaurant stubby holder somewhere. I miss WA.

Photos. Went out playing at the compound (south of Malabar, FL) this weekend with a buddy of mine with an old jeep. I got pulled out twice, but he got pulled out three times!

Good lord, what a collection! I wonder how many of the Rovers actually run!
Most if not all. He does resto's! Those are all in various stages.

@ERMB

In any collection will be always a 40 series for back up,,.
Great Cruiser, do those 295's rub and what roof rack are you running?
I've never had any rubbing issues even before the lift they didn't rub! The 295s are a great tire size! The rack is a DIY project I've been working on using super strut material which makes it extremely modular. Once it warms up around here I'll start working on it again.

love those 90's and 110's defenders... hate RR for discontinuing them.

Great looking, utilitarian vehicles, but man are they cramped for tall people. My uncle had a '97 D90 for several years and there just wasn't enough legroom in the driver's seat for me. Even my DII's were a little cramped.

@ERMB thanks for sharing great looking group of 4x4s.

I’d love to see some details of your roof rack build, as I’m planning on doing the same for my LX.

@ERMB You running 295 on 2inch lift?

I have a few pics in my media page that shows where I'm at in the project right now. I'll start a thread once I start working on it again so others can use some of what I learned and evolve it as well. This is a thread I created when I had my Tacoma from another forum.

@ERMB You running 295 on 2inch lift?
Yes, it's the 2in kit from Trail Taylor.
