@benc and I went out last night and came across a 4runner and a k5 stuck on a icy hill. Took 3 tow straps, 3 winches and 3-4 hours to recover them, had a blast though!

You can see their lights way down there

Ben ended up snapping his synthetic line off the drum because it spun... Even with 6 ish wraps, must have been the ice that formed

Looks like fun n55luvr. Where were you in TN? Is that private land?

No it was designated state forest I believe. The road / trail is called Black House Mountain Rd. The odd thing was that google designates all the trails we were on as actual roads. So we could follow our progress the entire weekend. Note, these are as far from an actual road as you could imagine. We stayed at a place called Pointe View Cabin which was right on the trail. If I were to do it again I think I wouldn't hesitate to camp out there as there were many cool camping spots that were very isolated.

Google Maps

It was a really cool place, we took trails from TN north into KY. From the looks of it you could explore for days without ever going on the same trail. We did one 12 hour ride Saturday (rode shotgun in a nicely built LC60) and it was pretty intense trail. Anyways, mild to wild, there were trails there for anything. If I was closer to the area I'd go play there often. Definitely hope to go back.

I know that area pretty well. My guess was that you were a bit east of there. There is a heckuva lot of great exploring to be done in that general area.
