Nice, the swivels, are they OE from Toyota? Mine have minor pitting and I was going to give it another year or so and simply paint them with Hammerite to help the seals keep in the grease. But if there is a template available to weld new ones on then I might leave it for another couple of years?

Again, nice work.

regards

Dave

It drives perfect down the road! All I need is a custom trac bar to fit the bigger diff, weld on limit straps, front driveline, and install my rear gears and locker

Thats awesome
Land speeder when you going to make one for me

It is awesome, but don't get it twisted, I did not do the hard work that goes to js93!

Thanks speeder! I couldn't have done it without your idea!

Maybe I missed it but estimated cost?

yup the hydro steer too:D

great work though! this will be a project for me in the future

Do you still need to run longfields?

The estimated cost for the housing, labor, nitro chromo birfs and shafts, arp hub studs, chromoly hub gears, birf machining, Aisn hubs, geArs and locker, brackets, oil and grease, toyota rebuild kit.... Is around 2,410$ give or take but you can do it for much cheaper, I just wanted to make it as strong as possible...

The hydro assist was like $620.00 that's a 1.5x8 new psc ram, hoses, and psc completely rebuilt drilled and tapped my box

I'm of the opinion you can't go much cheaper. You can wait around for used parts to pop up... but a built front axle will cost $2K+ regardless the flavor.

If you used all your stock parts off your stock axle and did all the mod work yourself, kept stock gears/open diff it could be much cheaper

Bump for more attention :P

It is, I had my flash on so it looks a little shallow but I'm happy with it, I set my pinion preload to 20 in lbs, bl is at .009
